About
I am Associate Dean for the College of Arts and Education, Director of Teacher Education, Assistant Professor of Music, and Music Department Chairperson at Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU). I have been a music educator for over twenty years teaching all levels of music education. I received a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership (Higher Education Administration) from Bradley University, a Master of Music Education from Emporia State University, and a Bachelor of Music Education from OPSU. My groups have consistently achieved advanced levels while also establishing individual recognition in honor groups. In my last year in the public schools, I was awarded “Teacher of the Year” by the administration. Under my direction, the OPSU concert band performed three original works at the 2012 Society of Composers Region VI Conference at West Texas A&M University. I have had several students participate in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Honor Band at the OKMEA convention since my tenure began at OPSU. I have been a guest conductor and clinician at many public schools in the five-state area.
